Quiz Night at the Pah
Guests enjoyed viewing exhibitions outside public hours - delicious food and beverages were availbale. The Wallace Arts Trust's Education and Volunteer Coordinator Hannah Wilson will travel to Samoa in September as a volunteer artist on SpinningTop’s Great Samoan Volunteer Trip, to work on projects in two childrens' shelters run by Samoan Victim Support Group.
Proceeds from the night will go toward Hannah's costs for the trip and a donation to SpinningTop for materials for the projects. For more information about SpinningTop's projects please visit www.spinningtop.org
Two framed limited edition (1/3) prints by Hannah were be raffled and auctioned. The prints titled 'Escherichia Coli' (raffle) and 'Herpes Simplex' (auction) were created during Hannah's Postgraduate Diploma at Elam School of Fine Arts in 2010. They utilise microbial imagery to create beautifully intricate 'cell vistas' and are inkjet printed on 290gsm Tiepolo rag paper. The quality framing of these in full archival and UV protectant materials has been generously donated by El Framo Picture Framers in Ponsonby.
Proceeds from the night will go toward Hannah's costs for the trip and a donation to SpinningTop for materials for the projects. For more information about SpinningTop's projects please visit www.spinningtop.org
